With over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry, Gary started his journey as an electrical apprentice for a bespoke control panel manufacturer and electrical installation contractor.
In 2020 Gary became a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET. Subsequently becoming a professional registration advisor and assessor.
This year Gary was elected to the IET council to serve until 2028.
Gary has gone on to run multiple electrical contracting businesses culminating in founding his own in New Wave Electrical to deliver his specialist knowledge in ICA, ATEX and electrical installations.

Released in 2024, Gary authored the industry acclaimed book "So you want to be an electrician?" Providing insight into apprenticeships and what a career in the electrical industry will be like.

New Wave Electrical provided design consultation for the Tideway project throughout West London. From architectural lighting design of new public spaces such as Putney Foreshore to King George's Park.
Working internationally New Wave completed the installation of the "Iron Man" robot. Controlled by variable speed drives and fibre optic lighting, the robot welcomes you into Kuwait's Cultural Centre.
The project culminated in an innovation award nomination for the Electrical Review Magazine.
New Wave electrical provided design consultation for the individual worksites and tunnel control philosophy on the Tideway project. The biggest project ever in the UK's water industry is now preventing millions of tonnes of raw sewage from entering the Thames.
