With over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry, Gary started his journey as an electrical apprentice for a bespoke control panel manufacturer and electrical installation contractor.
In 2020 Gary became a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IET. Subsequently becoming a professional registration advisor and assessor.
This year Gary was elected to the IET council to serve until 2028.
Gary has gone on to run multiple electrical contracting businesses culminating in founding his own in New Wave Electrical to deliver his specialist knowledge in ICA, ATEX and electrical installations.

Released in 2024, Gary authored the industry acclaimed book "So you want to be an electrician?" Providing insight into apprenticeships and what a career in the electrical industry will be like.

Having worked with clients such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Glaxo-Smith Kline, we bring experience with food and product manufacturing lines, including control systems and fire protection "fenwal" systems.
New Wave has experience in all aspects of DSEAR and ATEX requirements. Including anti-static bonding requirements associated with manufacturing processes where static charge can be a problem in hazardous areas.
